Our History
2017
Coinless
Built to bring instant feedback, remote management, monthly memberships, and mobile payments to the self serve carwash, Coinless was created out of necessity due to a large market gap. Carwash owners needed a better way to remotely manage their car washes in the age of cameras and mobile payments, but nothing existed at the time. Coinless grew its footprint to more than 100 locations across the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. Coinless was acquired by Everwash in May 2024 to better enable that platform to grow to thousands of carwash locations.
2020
Built Bar
We invest in people. That’s why when we had a chance to get behind Nick Greer and his vision to introduce Built to every grocer, big box, and convenience store across the country, we jumped at the opportunity. Built makes the best tasting protein bars….bar-none. Who doesn’t want to enjoy the taste of a candy bar while packing in the protein and avoiding calorie overloading.
2015
Jamberry
Jamberry was created out of necessity when summer ski sales revenues weren’t enough to make payroll. What came out of the necessity was discovering and marketing a nail product that could delivery endless designs right to your fingertips. Pioneered by Christy, Keri, and Lyndsey (the Jamberry sisters) Coldwater founders Adam Hepworth and Jared Richards scaled the product and distribution to six countries across three continents to tens of millions of customers. Jamberry sold a controlling interest in the company to a private equity firm in 2015, moving the founders to less involved board positions.
2007
Bluehouse Skis
Every story needs a beginning. For the Coldwater team, that beginning was skis. With the help of Dan Nebeker and Shane Larsen, the team decided to try its hands at creating a line of snow skis focused on the emerging freeride community and distributing the skis through direct to consumer channels and amassing a following through online communities right. While skis might not have been the most lucrative venture, it paved the way for the best entrepreneurial education anyone could have ever asked for.
